#MAVINS- “I used to be a regular debtor till WAEC days” – Crayon shares motivational story as he visits former secondary school

 A fast-rising Nigerian artist Charles Chibueze Chukwu, better known by his stage name Crayon, has revealed his difficult beginnings before he rose to stardom. The Mavin signee, who recently paid a visit to his former secondary school “Treasure court college”, recalled how paying his tuition was such a challenge for him as a secondary school student that he nearly missed the West African Certificate Examination (WAEC). Crayon was proud of his achievement as he lauded himself as the school’s only star and begged for other stars to emerge from the school. He posted a video of himself prostrating in front of his teachers in the school’s staff room. The performer was also seen performing for the children, who were ecstatic to see him. JAMB commences change of course and institution for 2022

  We understand that the JAMB change of course and institution for 2022 has commenced. This was confirmed from the official Twitter handle of JAMB. Candidates can process their changes at accredited centres or JAMB offices. Please do note that candidates will be required to make a payment of N2,500 for the process. So we urge other candidates who wish to change their course/ institution to proceed to an accredited centre or JAMB office for that purpose. You can also correct your Bio-data which include your name, date of birth, gender, State and Local Government of origin. It is important for candidates to confirm if they meet the requirements of the course and the institution they intend to change to before proceeding.   

STRIKE: ASUU MEETS AS VISITATION PANELS SUBMIT REPORTS

  The Academic Staff Union of Universities on Thursday expressed optimism about its ongoing meeting with the Prof. Nimi Briggs committee, describing the negotiation as being progressive.   Speaking in an interview on Thursday, the National President, ASUU, Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke, said the union had been negotiating with the Briggs committee since last week over its demands.   ASUU commenced its ongoing strike on February 14, 2022, after the Federal Government failed to meet some of its demands including, the release of revitalisation funds for universities, renegotiation of the 2009 FGN/ASUU agreement, release of earned allowances for university lecturers, and deployment of the University Transparency and Accountability Solution   It was reported that on March 7, 2022, the Federal Government inaugurated a seven-person committee tasked with the renegotiation of the 2009 agreement reached with ASUU, which was chaired, by Pro-Chancellor, Alex Ekweme Federal University N...

STRIKE: WE HAVE RESUMED TALKS WITH FG, SAY ASUU, SSANU

ASUU President, Prof Emmanuel Osodeke and Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige.   The Academic Staff Union of Universities, Joint Action Committee of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions have said the Prof Nimi Briggs Committee is in negotiation with the unions.   Speaking in an interview with The PUNCH on Sunday, the ASUU’s National President, Prof Emmanuel Osodeke, said the union had been negotiating with the Briggs Committee since last week over its demands.   ASUU commenced its ongoing strike on February 14, 2022 after the Federal Government failed to meet some of its demands namely; the release of revitalisation funds for universities, renegotiation of the 2009 FGN/ASUU agreement, release of earned allowances for university lecturers, and deployment of the University Transparency and Accountability Solution payment platform.   The PUNCH reports that on March 7,...
