Abia State University (ABSU) shun ASUU roll over directives, 19th of March 2022 as resumption date for Academic Activities and Lecture Starts by 28th March
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the results of candidates who took part in the 2022 UTME. OUR TEAM confirmed that the UTME results are release gradually and it can only be check via SMS Instructions from JAMB All candidates can simply send RESULT, via SMS, to 55019 using the same number that was used for registration. After entering the information correctly, the result, would be replied as an SMS shortly after. Details shortly
The academic staff union of universities ASUU, Abia state University ABSU has vowed to continue strike action in case their demands are no met by the FG We gathered this at the union branch in a terse statement signed by the chairperson of the branch Nkendirim and secretary udom. The branch suggests that the strike should be rolled over if FG hasn't met to their demands by next week. This is ahead of the upcoming NEC meeting to be held next week .
After serious deliberations that dragged into the early hours of Monday, the National Executive Council, NEC, of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has voted to embark on one-month warning strike to press home its demands from the government. A source at the meeting held in Lagos told Vanguard in confidence that the strike is to allow the Federal Government do the needful failure to which the union would go on an indefinite strike. “We just want to give the government a long rope hoping that it would see the need to avoid a total paralysis of academic activities in the nation’s universities. Hope rises for public university students in Nigeria as Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) provides hints it might call off its 110 days long strike. ASUU President, Professor Emmanuel Osodeke, told AIT’s Abulu Osemuaghu exclusively via the telephone that it will brief the media this week. The ASUU President said as parents, he and other lecturers feel the pain of the students and want to see them back in classes as soon as possible.
