UTME 2022: THINGS TO DO WHILE WAITING FOR THE COMMENCEMENT OF THE UTME REGISTRATION.

As it has been announced already for those who haven't heard, that the commencement for UTME 2022 sales of form has been fixed for 12th February 2022 and will last till 19th match 2022. Considering this news, it is very important that prospective candidate for UTME know what is required or know about the requirements that are expected to be gotten before registration kicks off .

To get those requirements ready and have a smooth registration process successful one of the keys to do so early preparation.

So this post will guide you on the few things you need to be doing at the moment while we wait for the commencement of the UTME sales of form and registration.


UTME 2022: Things to do while waiting for commencement of registration:

1. Get your National Identification Number (NIN): Based on previous reports, NIN may likely be a compulsory requirement for the 2022 UTME/DE registration. In case you do not have yours yet and you intend to register for the 2022 UTME/DE, we advise you quickly get it ready. We earlier provided a step-by-step procedure on how you can acquire NIN.

2. Know the course you want to study: Deciding on the course you intend to study is one of the things you should do now before the registration begins. This is because you need time to think before settling on a career/course. You shouldn’t just pick any course. It has to be a course you have passion as well as an academic aptitude for. 

3. Know the School You Intend to Apply for: Just like in choosing a course, you need to equally know beforehand the institution you want to apply for. Your criteria in choosing one should be based on whether the school offers the course you intend to study, the admission requirements of the school, the school fees as well as other personal preferences e.g location etc

4. Know the subject combination for your course: A lot of students make this mistake by choosing the wrong subject combinations for their course. If you want to avoid any form of mistake, use “The JAMB Brochure”, to see the required subject combination for the various courses before registration begins. Remember, that choosing the wrong one can jeopardize your chances of gaining admission. Be wise!!!

5. Ask for Guidance: If for any reason you are confused and need guidance may be regarding the choice of course or school, UTME/O’level subject combination etc…

6. Start Studying Now: Finally, start studying now and don’t just study hard, learn to study smart. By now you should know that a good number of JAMB past questions are repeated every year.

ABSU votes for extension of ASUU strike by another one month

  The academic staff union of universities ASUU, Abia state University ABSU has vowed to continue strike action in case their demands are no met by the FG We gathered this at the union branch in a terse statement signed by the chairperson of the branch Nkendirim and secretary udom. The branch suggests that the strike should be rolled over if FG hasn't met to their demands by next week. This is ahead of the upcoming NEC meeting to be held next week .

Breaking: ASUU to go on One-month Warning Strike

  After serious deliberations that dragged into the early hours of Monday, the National Executive Council, NEC, of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has voted to embark on one-month warning strike to press home its demands from the government.   A source at the meeting held in Lagos told Vanguard in confidence that the strike is to allow the Federal Government do the needful failure to which the union would go on an indefinite strike.       “We just want to give the government a long rope hoping that it would see the need to avoid a total paralysis of academic activities in the nation’s universities. ASUU RAISES HOPE OF CALLING OFF STRIKE

  Hope rises for public university students in Nigeria as Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) provides hints it might call off its 110 days long strike.   ASUU President, Professor Emmanuel Osodeke, told AIT’s Abulu Osemuaghu exclusively via the telephone that it will brief the media this week.     The ASUU President said as parents, he and other lecturers feel the pain of the students and want to see them back in classes as soon as possible.   Osodeke however accused Federal Government of foot-dragging on its various demands especially the adoption of the University Transparency and Accountability Solution, (UTAS) which it said has passed 90% test.     ASUU admitted that the meeting with the Federal government’s 2009 Agreements renegotiation team led by Professor Nimi Briggs has so far been fruitful.   There have been protests by the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) to scuttle political parties primaries if the schools are...
