We’re In Full Compliance With The National Strike, Disregard Resumption Notice – EKSU–ASUU Tells Member

The Academic Staff Union of Universities, Ekiti State University has distanced itself from the reopening of the Institution for academic activities, insisting that it is in full compliance with the strike action by the National body.

In a statement reportedly signed by the Chairman, ASUU, EKSU, Dr Kayode Arogundade, described the purported order for the Institution to resume as purely political and accused the Ekiti State Government of refusing to accede to its demands.

The Union also vowed to hold the State government and University management responsible if any harm is inflicted on any member of the Union as it revealed that it had been receiving various threats.

The statement came shortly after Spokesman of the Ekiti State University, Bode Olofinmuagun announced that the institution had directed the immediate reopening of the school.
